Michter's Limited Release US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey 750ml
This 2025 release of the Michter’s US-1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash marks the third overall bottling of this unique expression, first introduced in 2019. The whiskey begins as Michter’s US-1 Sour Mash—a distillate matured in new charred American oak barrels—then undergoes a secondary finishing period in custom-made toasted (but un-charred) oak barrels made from staves that were air-dried for at least 18 months. The toasting process is designed to accentuate richer nuances of honey, spice, citrus, and smoky butter-pecan in the final product. The whiskey is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
